Social media recently circulated news regarding child thefts in the Buvayda district of the Fergana region. Ismoil Sharipov, the head of the provincial intelligence service's information department, provided commentary on the matter.
Allegedly, unidentified individuals attempted to abduct two children on their way home from kindergarten in the Shorkishloq neighborhood of Buvayda district. Their abduction was thwarted thanks to the vigilance of a family member.
It's emphasized that the validity of the report remains unconfirmed.
"We urge everyone not to succumb to unfounded rumors circulating. Should such incidents be substantiated, the regional Department of Internal Affairs will assume control and ensure the perpetrator faces appropriate consequences," the statement reads.
