Mirziyoyev receives the Deputy Secretary General of the UN

On May 2, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Tatyana Molchan, the Deputy Secretary General of the UN and the Executive Secretary of the European Economic Commission, as part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum. The Presidential Information Service reported this meeting.
At the onset of their discussion, Tatyana Molchan conveyed greetings and well wishes from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to Mirziyoyev.
They also addressed the implementation of regional and national projects, along with the initiatives proposed by the President of Uzbekistan during the inaugural summit of the UN Special Program for Central Asian Economies in Baku last November.
The President acknowledged the commission's significant role in advancing sustainable development goals until 2030, its support in transportation, innovation, environmental conservation, gender equality, and Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO.
Moreover, they emphasized the swift adoption of the SPECA development concept for the period up to 2030, the launch of the program's Target Fund, and the preparation of various conceptual documents.
