Woman detained in Andijan for extorting 10 million sums threatening to leak photos

A woman in Andijan has been arrested for attempting to extort 10 million sums from a man, threatening to share his personal photos online. The incident was reported by the Cybersecurity Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The man reported the incident to the authorities, leading to an investigation. During the operation, the woman was caught red-handed while accepting the demanded money, with material evidence in her possession.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Boston District Department of Internal Affairs under Part 1 of Article 165 of the Criminal Code. The suspect has been detained in accordance with procedural law, and the investigation is ongoing.
This case follows a similar one in Bukhara, where a woman was also detained for threatening to release a romantic video of her boyfriend.
