Officials embezzles subsidies intended for unemployed women in Andijan

Officials in Andijan have been identified for issuing fake documents in the names of 25 women and embezzling state subsidy funds. The Anti-Corruption Agency reported the incident.

According to the report, officials from the Department of Poverty Reduction and Employment Assistance of Zhalakuduk district, in collusion with the head of the “S.T.H.” limited liability company, identified as F.H., misappropriated the funds in advance.

Under a social contract concluded in 2023, 25 unemployed women listed in the “Temir Daftar,” “Ayollar Daftar,” “Yoshlar Daftar,” and the Unified Register of Social Protection were supposedly employed as housewives at the LLC and provided with sewing equipment worth a total of 247.5 million soums.

“Based on the materials collected during the investigation, a criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code,” the report stated.

It is worth noting that earlier, a criminal case was initiated against tax officials who falsified information.
