Fayzullaev: Today’s Uzbekistan national team can defeat Russia

Abbos Fayzullaev, winger of Uzbekistan’s national football team and CSKA Moscow, believes that the current Uzbekistan squad is capable of defeating Russia. His remarks were reported by "Sport24.ru".
“The Russian team also has a strong lineup. I’ve watched several of their matches myself. They have a player like Golovin from Monaco, who knows how to control the game. If Russia returns to the international stage, they can deliver solid performances. But if a match were organized between the Russian and Uzbek national teams today, Uzbekistan would win,” Fayzullaev said.
For reference, Fayzullaev has played 34 matches for CSKA in all competitions this season, scoring 3 goals and providing 7 assists. Since joining the national team in 2023, he has scored 7 goals in 23 appearances.
