On November 5, Deputy Commander of the Border Troops of the State Security Service (SSS) of Uzbekistan, Colonel Bakhtiyor Muminovich Mansurov, passed away at the age of 68. The information was confirmed by the DSS Border Troops.
Bakhtiyor Mansurov was born on February 27, 1957, in the city of Jizzakh. He devoted more than 40 years of his life to the Armed Forces, serving in various leadership positions within the Ministry of Defense and the Border Troops since 1979.
Throughout his distinguished career, Colonel Mansurov received numerous state awards and honors. Notably, in 2024, he was granted the honorary title of “Honored Builder of the Republic of Uzbekistan” for his contribution to strengthening and developing the infrastructure and material base of the Border Troops.
Earlier, Uzbekistan’s first Minister of Defense, Colonel General Rustam Akhmedov, passed away at the age of 82.
