Education department explains teacher’s presence in the cotton field

Earlier it was reported that Gulbahor Samadova, a primary school teacher in Jizzakh, learned in a cotton field that she had been awarded the state award — the "Shukhrat" medal — under the Presidential Decree “On rewarding a group of employees who have shown a special example in the education system on the occasion of the Day of Teachers and Mentors,” adopted on September 11. The Jizzakh Regional Department of Preschool and School Education has now issued a response to the situation.
“If the video is watched to the end, Gulbahor Samadova responds to the interlocutor’s remark by saying, ‘I voluntarily participated in the campaign today with active women,’” the department stated.
During the inquiry, it was further revealed that Samadova had brought "hashar oshi" to the cotton field.
