Saida Mirziyoyeva visits Karakalpakstan

Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva visited the nationwide “Health Marathon” held in Karakalpakstan. She shared details of the visit on her Telegram channel.

According to her, as part of the marathon, medical examinations are being conducted in 12 family clinics and 3 public healthcare facilities in the city of Nukus. A patient referral and digitization system is also being introduced.

“As a result of the joint efforts of doctors and the introduction of artificial intelligence solutions such as AI TOP-3 CDSS, MuxlisaMED AI, and AI Mammo, it is possible to provide more prompt and accurate medical care,” the report says.

Mirziyoyeva noted that over the four days of the marathon, nearly 12,000 citizens underwent examinations, more than 1,700 received in-depth screenings, and 116 were referred for treatment.

“We met and spoke with young patients who underwent complex surgeries at the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the Karakalpakstan Medical Institute. Their resilience and sincere smiles deeply moved each of us,” she added.

Mirziyoyeva also announced the launch of two new initiatives in the region — the “Family Health School,” which is based on the introduction of a digital family passport, and “Health Volunteers,” a project aimed at improving medical literacy among the population with the involvement of young people.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the young specialists of the ‘Medical Innovators’ team, who are working to transform healthcare into a system that meets modern requirements and is convenient and beneficial for everyone. The health of the nation is our shared path and responsibility, which we all walk shoulder to shoulder,” Mirziyoyeva concluded.

It is worth noting that earlier, Ziroatkhan Mirziyoyeva, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Zamin Foundation, held a meeting with Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
