Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva elected to World Aquatics Bureau

On July 29, the World Aquatics Congress took place in Singapore, where Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, the youngest daughter of the President of Uzbekistan and First Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection, was elected to the Bureau of the Executive Committee of the World Aquatics Federation. The announcement was published on the official website of the organization.
Mirziyoyeva also shared the news on her personal Instagram page, confirming that she had accepted the appointment.
"I am grateful for the trust placed in me and proudly accept the invitation to join the World Aquatics Bureau! It is a great responsibility for me to be part of this organization and promote the interests of Uzbekistan at the global level. This recognition is not only for me personally, but also for our team, which is working to make sports accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances and capabilities," she wrote.
She emphasized that her involvement in the Bureau’s work would help draw greater attention to the development of aquatic sports. She also expressed her readiness to contribute to increasing the popularity of all sports under the World Aquatics umbrella and to elevate the presence of Uzbek athletes on the international stage.
For reference, Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva was appointed First Deputy Chairperson of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan on August 13, 2024.
