Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Serbian Foreign Minister

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric, who arrived in the country on a visit, on May 6. This was reported by the presidential press service.
According to the report, at the beginning of the meeting, the high-ranking guest conveyed greetings and best wishes from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to the head of state.
The sides reviewed prospects for further strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the two countries as part of the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level in October 2025.
They noted with satisfaction the intensification of dialogue at the levels of governments, parliaments and business communities, as well as the expansion of humanitarian exchanges.
Special attention was paid to increasing trade turnover and preparing a broad cooperation program in mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, the chemical industry, information technology, agriculture, tourism and many other important sectors.
To advance the economic agenda of cooperation, the sides agreed to hold the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Belgrade this year.
They also discussed issues of partnership in organized labor migration, culture and education.
The sides exchanged views on current regional and international issues and discussed plans for upcoming high-level meetings.
