In Tashkent, a 38-year-old man who made sexual advances toward a gym employee and asked her to live and have sexual relations with him was sentenced to five days of administrative detention. QALAMPIR.UZ reviewed the court ruling.
According to the document, on October 22 of this year, a man born in 1987, identified as Z.A., visited a gym located in the “Labzak” neighborhood of Shaykhantakhur district in Tashkent as a client. There, he met a woman named A.A. and expressed romantic interest in her, saying he liked her. However, the woman told Z.A. that she was married and not interested in a romantic relationship. Despite this, Z.A. continued to pursue her and sent her sexually explicit photos.
Following these actions, A.A. reported the incident to law enforcement by calling the 102 hotline. Later, Z.A. was summoned to the district police department but fled from the building.
On October 30, the Shaykhantakhur District Criminal Court reviewed the case. During the trial, the man admitted his guilt and asked the court for leniency. He was found guilty under Article 41-1 (sexual harassment) part 1, and Article 194 (failure to comply with lawful demands of internal affairs officers) part 1 of the Administrative Liability Code. The court sentenced him to five days of administrative detention.
As previously reported, another case in Tashkent involved a 20-year-old man who filmed his genitals and sent the video to an 18-year-old female coworker. He was also sentenced to five days of administrative detention.
