Criminal gang led by “Molotok” detained in Tashkent (video)

A violent individual known by the nickname “Molotok” and members of his criminal group have been detained in Tashkent Region, Uzbekistan 24 reported.

According to the report, the suspect, who introduced himself as “Molotok,” began forming a criminal group in the city of Chirchiq in the final months of 2025 and attempted to expand his influence in the area. He reportedly recruited physically strong young men involved in sports and drew them into illegal activities.

The group’s objective was to establish street control in the area, gain authority among individuals associated with criminal circles, and present itself as a criminal leadership force. Preliminary investigative checks revealed that the group’s members had been resolving pre-existing disputes and debt-related issues through violence.

As a result of оперативe measures carried out by law enforcement agencies, all members of the group were detained. Criminal cases were opened against them under Article 277 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism), and a court ordered pretrial detention as a preventive measure.

Earlier, authorities reported the detention of another criminal group in Sharof Rashidov district of Jizzakh Region, led by an individual nicknamed “Tayson,” who had been involved in street hooliganism and threats.
