Uzbekistan will host the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Nations Cup from August 29 to September 8 this year. The announcement was made by the Uzbekistan Football Association.
This year, the number of participating teams will increase by two, with the national teams of Malaysia and Oman joining the tournament as guests. One group of matches will be held in Tajikistan, while the other group, along with the final, will take place in Uzbekistan.

"The national team of Uzbekistan, a World Cup participant, will play its next matches at the CAFA Nations Cup 2025. Our fans can expect exciting and fiercely contested games," the statement said.
The draw for the tournament is scheduled to take place on July 3 at 16:00.
For reference, CAFA was established in June 2014 and is one of five regional associations under the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The AFC also includes the ASEAN Football Federation, the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF), the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), and the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF). Unlike the AFC, UEFA (the Union of European Football Associations) does not operate through such regional divisions.
