Tulkin Kasimov, former Chief of Uzbekistan’s Armed Forces, passes away

Colonel General Tulkin Kasimov, who previously served as Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, has passed away. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

Tulkin Yuldashevich Kasimov served in the Armed Forces from 1962 to 2003. Throughout his career, he held several key positions, including commander of a military district, deputy minister of defense, head of the Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

During his service, he was awarded the Orders of Honor of the I and II degree, the Order of the Red Star, the Orders "For Service to the Fatherland" of the II and III degree, along with numerous medals.

It is worth noting that earlier, Azim Latipov, a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Hero of Uzbekistan, passed away at the age of 74.
