The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has approved new customs duty rates for importing goods from abroad, according to a resolution adopted on January 31. The resolution introduces several regulatory changes, including an updated procedure for vehicle movement through border checkpoints and a “Fast-track” service for individuals.

A new regulation governs the use of the “Electronic Queue” system for vehicles crossing Uzbekistan’s borders. Authorized users can reserve a spot in the queue via the official website of the Customs Committee or designated waiting areas equipped with queue management systems. If a vehicle does not arrive at the scheduled time, its electronic queue number becomes invalid.

The resolution also introduces a “Fast-track” service for individuals moving through border checkpoints. To use this service, individuals or their representatives must apply electronically or orally through the official Customs Committee website or electronic payment systems.

Passengers using the service will undergo separate state control procedures in designated areas, bypassing standard queues. The fee for this service is set at 15 percent of the minimum monthly wage (MRP) per individual aged 18 or older.

The resolution also outlines revised customs duty amounts for various imported goods. These changes aim to streamline border procedures and regulate the importation process more effectively.

Further details on specific duty rates are expected to be published by the relevant authorities.
