In the Jizzakh region, individuals refusing to fulfill alimony payments on schedule face a 15-day imprisonment, as reported by the Regional Office of Compulsory Enforcement.
Under Articles 47-4-47-4 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, those who fail to provide required financial support may be subject to administrative imprisonment or fined twenty times the minimum monthly wage.
Following the operations of the Sharof Rashidov district bureau, debtor M.M. was sentenced to 15 days in administrative prison by collector U.M. for overdue alimony payments.
It's worth noting that a woman, wanted for neglecting alimony payments, sparked uproar among locals gathered at a cafeteria in Tashkent.
