Governor of Ferghana district reprimanded

A disciplinary measure has been imposed on Ferghana district governor Hamidullo Inomov. The decision was formalized in an order signed today, August 25, by the governor of Ferghana region, Khairullo Bozorov.

The statement noted that a review of efforts to promote socio-economic development across the region had been conducted. It was strongly criticized that key projects in Ferghana district—particularly those aimed at improving socio-economic conditions, public welfare, and addressing other urgent issues—had been neglected.

During a visit by a working group from the Presidential Administration, it was revealed that in the "Mindanobod" small industrial zone in Ferghana district, only 3 of the 22 planned projects have been launched so far. No systematic work has been carried out to ensure the timely implementation of the remaining 19 projects, and landscaping efforts around apartment buildings remain incomplete.

In light of these findings, a formal reprimand was issued to district governor Hamidullo Inomov under Article 312 of the Labor Code for negligence. The order emphasized the need for timely and high-quality execution of tasks related to territorial socio-economic development, job creation, and other pressing issues. It also stressed the importance of strengthening accountability among local leaders.

All deputy governors of the district were also warned that they may face dismissal if they fail to deliver tangible improvements and achieve notable results in their work by the end of the third quarter. Governor Bozorov stated that he would personally oversee the implementation of this order.

Hamidullo Inomov, born in 1982 in Buvayda district, was appointed governor of Ferghana district on October 17, 2022, during an extraordinary session of the district council of people’s deputies. Prior to this role, he served as chief inspector in the Department for Coordination of Personnel Work in State Bodies and Organizations under the Agency for the Development of Public Service.

Earlier, similar disciplinary measures were taken against Sherkhon Allamurodov, governor of Kyzyryk district.
