A fire broke out at the Center of Islamic Civilization, where the cutting of trees during construction had previously sparked public discontent. QALAMPIR.UZ visited the scene to investigate the situation.
It has been reported that the fire at the Center of Islamic Civilization, located on Zarkaynar Street in Olmazor district, broke out on the roof during the installation of insulation materials due to a disruption of technological procedures. Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and Tashkent’s mayor Shavkat Umrzoqov visited the site of the incident.
The fire was contained at 11:32 am and fully extinguished by 11:34 am. As a result, 19 square meters of insulation material on the roof of the building were damaged. No civilians were injured, and the interior of the building was not affected. The building did not house any rare exhibits.
