National Guard commander Bahodir Toshmatov has been elected chairman of the Uzbekistan Archery Federation, the National Olympic Committee reported.
According to the report, an extraordinary reporting and election conference of the Uzbekistan Archery Federation was held on March 28. During the event, a new leader of the federation was elected and priority plans were reviewed.
Delegates nominated Bahodir Hamidovich Toshmatov, commander of the National Guard of Uzbekistan, for the position of chairman. His candidacy was unanimously approved, and he was elected head of the federation.
During the conference, participants also discussed plans for further development and popularization of archery in the country, as well as preparations of athletes for major upcoming competitions this year.
Earlier, Interior Minister Aziz Toshpulatov had been elected chairman of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Association.
