President reviews musical fountain project in New Tashkent

On March 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the project of a fountain complex to be built in New Tashkent. This was reported by the presidential press service.

According to the report, special attention is being paid to the development of modern public spaces, as well as entertainment and cultural recreation facilities for the population. Such projects are expected to enhance the urban landscape, create comfortable leisure environments, and increase the flow of both local and international visitors.

The project предусматривает the construction of a musical fountain complex on an area of nearly 8 hectares in New Tashkent.

According to the design, a fountain capable of hosting water, music, and light shows will be built within a basin covering 6.3 hectares, with 1.5 hectares allocated for performances. The complex will also include a super fountain capable of shooting water up to 232 meters, as well as a floating platform with a diameter of 100 meters.

The fountain will be able to create a 360-degree water screen with a radius of 185 meters, onto which various images can be projected.

High-powered laser beams, dynamic water compositions, and a range of visual effects are also planned. Pumping, electrical, laser projection, and other technical systems will be housed in a two-level underground facility.

Green areas and service facilities will be developed around the water basin. The complex is expected to become one of the main attractions of New Tashkent, enhancing the city’s architectural appearance and serving as a modern venue for cultural events, celebrations, and festivals.

The president paid particular attention to the project’s concept, technical solutions, and the comprehensive development of the surrounding area. He emphasized the importance of organizing high-quality retail, catering, and service facilities for visitors. He also stressed the need to ensure a high standard of show events at the site in connection with this year’s Independence Day celebrations.

It is worth noting that earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also reviewed the construction progress of a major sports facility—a modern football stadium being built in New Tashkent.
