Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva held a meeting with U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce David Fogel. Mirziyoyeva wrote about the meeting on her Telegram channel.
According to the report, the meeting focused on cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States, including trade, investment and new areas of partnership.

“American business circles are currently showing growing interest in investment and infrastructure projects in our country. It is very important that this attention turns into concrete agreements, new jobs and broad opportunities for the economy in the near future,” the statement said.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to the activities of the American-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council, which helps establish mutually beneficial dialogue and practical ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

It should be noted that the American-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council officially launched its activities in Washington, D.C., on April 6 this year. The goal is to create a solid institutional foundation for joint business initiatives. The launch was attended by Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva, U.S. Special Representative for South and Central Asia and Ambassador Sergio Gor, and Komil Allamjonov, counselor-envoy at Uzbekistan’s embassy in the United States and representative of the Presidential Administration in the U.S.

Earlier, Saida Mirziyoyeva said that Uzbekistan and the United States plan to launch a joint investment platform.
