Criminal case opened over vehicle ramming incident in Tashkent

Earlier, it was reported that a 27-year-old man in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent struck his ex-wife and her acquaintances with a Tracker vehicle. A criminal case has now been initiated over the incident, according to the capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the report, an investigation has been carried out into the circumstances of the incident.

“As a result of a dispute between citizens, a conflict arose. As the altercation was nearing its end, four individuals were moving when a driver in a Tracker vehicle arrived and struck them,” said Akobir Yoqubov, an investigator of the Yunusabad district Department of Internal Affairs.

Authorities stated that necessary physical evidence has been collected and documented at the scene. A criminal case has been opened under Articles 25 and 97 (attempted intentional homicide) and Article 277 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are ongoing, and a lawful decision will be made upon their completion.

Earlier, a road accident in the Toyloq district of Samarkand region resulted in the death of a cyclist.
