Man sentenced for beating a man into a coma at a nightclub (video)

Earlier, it was reported that a man in Tashkent was hospitalized with a head injury, a torn wound on his right cheek, and alcohol poisoning after being beaten during a fight outside a nightclub. The victim had tried to break up the altercation. The man responsible for the assault has now been sentenced to 8 years and 1 month in prison. The information was provided by Aziz Obidov, the spokesperson for the Supreme Court.
According to the report, on October 24, the Mirzo Ulugbek District Criminal Court completed the first-instance hearing of the criminal case against A.Sh., a man born in 1995 in Tashkent.
By court verdict, A.Sh. was found guilty of committing crimes under Article 104, Part 2, Paragraph “e” (intentional infliction of serious bodily harm), Article 168, Part 4, Paragraph “a” (fraud), and Article 277, Part 3, Paragraph “g” (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.
Under Article 59 of the Criminal Code (sentencing for multiple crimes), A.Sh. was sentenced to 8 years and 1 month of imprisonment. The court determined that he will serve his sentence in a general-regime correctional colony.
It was noted that the parties have the right to appeal or file a cassation complaint against the verdict of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Criminal Court to the Criminal Division of the Tashkent City Court within the time frame prescribed by law.
For reference, the incident took place on March 16 of this year. Around 2:30 a.m., at one of the restaurants in the Yakkasaray district, A.Sh., a customer born in 1995, got into a dispute with his acquaintance, H.A., born in 1985. During the altercation, B.A., born in 1990, attempted to separate them but was struck by A.Sh., resulting in bodily injuries.
