Requirement of a foreign language certificate for master's and doctoral studies in some fields was canceled

23915In Uzbekistan, the necessity for a certificate has been waived for students who have completed their studies in a foreign language. This announcement came from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Qongirotboy Sharipov.
It's highlighted that a modification has been made to the prerequisite of a foreign language certificate for admission to master's and doctoral programs.
As per his statement:
- The certificate requirement is eliminated for students who have finished their studies in a foreign language.
- Depending on the field, the certificate requirement for disciplines such as culture, art, sports, education, health, production, engineering, agriculture, veterinary medicine, architecture, construction, physics, natural sciences, and transportation services is reduced by one level to B1.
- The certificate requirement remains at S1 for foreign languages, while it's at B2 for exact sciences, biology, mathematics, law, journalism, information and communication technologies, and economics.
