Previously, news surfaced regarding the unfortunate demise of a toddler following a tree collapse in Tashkent's Chilonzor district. The Prosecutor General's Office confirmed the initiation of a criminal inquiry into the matter, as reported by Hayot Shamsutdinov, the office's press service head.
The incident sparked a criminal investigation in the Chilonzor district, citing Article 186, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, concerning the mishandling of goods leading to safety hazards, resulting in the young girl's fatality.
Hayot Shamsutdinov noted: “During the examination, it was discovered that inadequate safety measures during water pipe repair works contributed to the tree's collapse, as workers utilized specialized equipment for excavation without proper precautions”.
He emphasized that investigations into the matter are currently ongoing.
