Quotas for part-time education will not surpass those allocated for full-time education. Mohinur Mamatova, a journalist from QALAMPIR.UZ reported on this decision during a press conference at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.

The transition involves expanding distance education and introducing extended education while gradually phasing out correspondence education.

Furthermore, starting from the academic year 2024/2025, entrance exams to higher education institutions will follow a "test first, then selection" principle.

Under this new system, applicants will take the test once and use their scores to compete for admission to universities or professional educational organizations if they fail to secure admission to a university.

The admission process itself occurs in two stages:

  • First, registration and selection of test subjects.
  • Second, choosing the direction and form of education after the announcement of the university test results.
