Khusanov shines as Guardiola weighs risk of his selection

Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola spoke about Abdukodir Khusanov's performance during a press conference following their FA Cup match against Leyton Orient.

"The plan was to play Ruben Dias for only 45 minutes since he had recently returned from injury. I didn’t want to introduce two new players—Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis—at the same time. It was a big risk," Guardiola stated.

Manchester City secured a 2-1 away victory over Leyton Orient, advancing to the next round of the FA Cup. Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov, who came on as a substitute in the second half, scored the equalizer in the 56th minute.

Guardiola’s side will now prepare for their upcoming Champions League clash against Real Madrid, set to take place on the night of February 12, Tashkent time.
