Earthquake in Afghanistan felt in Uzbekistan

An earthquake that occurred in Afghanistan was also felt in Uzbekistan, according to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring.

The earthquake struck on February 13 at 03:12 a.m. The epicenter was located 763 km southwest of Tashkent. The magnitude was 5.5, and the depth was 100 km. The epicenter was in Wardak, Afghanistan, at coordinates 34.45° north latitude and 68.21° east longitude.

The tremors were felt in Uzbekistan as follows:

In Surkhandarya region, the intensity reached 2–3 on the seismic scale at a distance of 322 km.

In Kashkadarya region, the intensity reached 2 on the seismic scale at a distance of 534 km.
