23-year-old woman attempts to jump from bridge in Andijan (video)

A video circulating on social media shows a young woman in Andijan attempting to jump from a bridge. The Andijan regional Department of Internal Affairs has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

According to preliminary information, at around 8:00 a.m. on January 14, a 23-year-old woman residing in Andijan district attempted to jump from a bridge located above Navoi Avenue in the Ishchilar mahalla of Andijan city. It was reported that the incident occurred due to a change in her psychological condition.

Members of an investigative task force promptly arrived at the scene and, together with other relevant agencies, prevented the incident.

An inquiry into the case is currently being conducted by the prosecutor’s office.

It is worth noting that earlier, a 22-year-old man in the city of Termez, Surkhandarya region, died after jumping from the roof of a 16-storey residential building. A forensic medical examination has been ordered in that case, and a pre-investigation review is being carried out by the Termez city prosecutor’s office.
