The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution prepared by a group of Arab countries, calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. This resolution was supported by 120 countries, including Uzbekistan.

The document calls for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. Additionally, the text calls for all parties to comply with international humanitarian law, the immediate provision of basic goods to the Gaza Strip, the release of all civilians, the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, and the lifting of the embargo.

Israel was also asked to relocate Palestinian residents and UN staff to the southern enclave.
Israel's permanent representative to the UN called the resolution a disgrace and stated that the UN has lost its legitimacy.

The USA, Israel, Hungary, and 11 other countries opposed the resolution, while 45 countries abstained.
