2 Uzbek boxers will fight for gold today

The final bouts of the Asian Boxing Championships for senior athletes, being held in Mongolia, will begin today, April 9. On the opening day of the finals, two Uzbek boxers will enter the ring to compete for gold medals.
First, Aziza Zokirova will face China’s Bao Szi in the women’s under-75 kg category. The bout is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. Tashkent time. Fifteen minutes later, another Uzbek boxer, Rukhshona Parpiyeva, will fight Nadejda Ryabets for the title in the women’s under-80 kg category.
It is worth noting that on April 7, two members of the Uzbekistan national team fell short in the semifinals and claimed bronze medals: Nigina O‘ktamova in the under-57 kg category and Abdurahmon Mahmudjonov in the under-60 kg category.
