Dry weather will continue across much of Uzbekistan over the weekend, according to a forecast published by Uzhydromet.
According to the forecast, intermittent rain is expected across most of the country, with heavy downpours possible in some areas. Thunderstorms are also likely. No precipitation is expected in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, while short-term rain may occur only in some areas of Bukhara and Navoi regions.
Rain is expected in foothill and mountainous areas. It may be heavy at times, accompanied by thunderstorms. Mudflows and flooding may occur. Hail is also possible in some areas.
Wind will blow at a speed of 7-12 m/s, strengthening to 13-18 m/s. In northern and desert areas, as well as in some parts of the south of the country, the wind may be accompanied by dust storms.
On May 22-24, temperatures will be around 13-18 degrees Celsius at night and 22-27 degrees during the day.
In Tashkent, intermittent rain is expected during the day today, with possible thunderstorms. The temperature will be 22-24 degrees.
Tomorrow, May 23, the weather will be mostly dry, although short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur toward the evening. Daytime temperatures will rise to 25-27 degrees.
On Sunday, May 24, intermittent rain and thunderstorms are expected. Daytime temperatures will be 22-24 degrees, while nighttime temperatures will mainly be 15-18 degrees. Wind will blow from the west at 3-8 m/s, occasionally strengthening to 10-12 m/s.
