Dmitry Li continues as director amid appointment of new deputy

Orifjon Fayziev has been appointed Deputy Director of the National Agency for Promising Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The agency's press service announced the appointment.

Orifjon Fayziev was born in 1982 in the Bukhara region. He holds a degree from the Tashkent State University of Economics (2003) and the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2019).

Fayziev began his career in the banking sector in 2004 and served in various roles over the years, including:

  • Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan (2009–2017)
  • National Agency for Project Management under the President of Uzbekistan (2018–2019)
  • State Tax Committee (2019–2022) as Deputy Head of the Department and later as Director of the Department.
  • In 2023, he led the Insurance Market Development Department of the Agency until his recent appointment.

It should be noted that Dmitry Li has been serving as the Director of the National Agency for Promising Projects since 2022. Recently, reports emerged of an assassination attempt on Dmitry Li, further emphasizing the sensitive nature of the agency’s work.
