Illegal gas use in Fergana causes loss of 6.1 billion soum

Authorities have discovered that a private limited company in the city of Fergana illegally used gas worth 6.1 billion soum, the Ministry of Energy reported.
During a recent inspection, it was found that the multi-story building belonging to the company was directly connected to the gas network without the required project documentation and had been using natural gas unlawfully.
According to preliminary calculations by the gas supply company, this violation resulted in damages totaling 6 billion 107 million soum.
Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting pre-investigation checks into the incident.
For context, it was previously reported that over the past month, unauthorized use of energy resources worth 79 billion soum had been recorded across Uzbekistan.
