3542President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has emphasized that enhancing competitiveness in the service sector is directly linked to the level of digitization across industries and regions. Speaking at a videoconference on February 7, he urged officials to accelerate digital transformation efforts.
The president instructed the Cadastre Agency to expedite the creation of a unified real estate address register and ordered the Ministry of Transport to develop a single platform for issuing tickets across all passenger transport types.
“I repeat: Any leader who delays digitization will oppose our openness policy,” Mirziyoyev stated.
To ensure accountability, the Cabinet of Ministers was directed to assign specific key performance indicators (KPIs), tasks, and deadlines for digitization to each minister and regional governor.
For instance, the Tourism Committee must launch an integrated platform where tourists can remotely book hotels and resorts, purchase air and rail tickets, visit museums and theaters, and hire guides and translators. Similarly, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice must streamline e-visa issuance, reducing processing time to three days.
This announcement follows Mirziyoyev’s recent directive to transfer 29 state services to the private sector, with 11 services scheduled for privatization by March 1 and the remaining 18 by October 1.
