An Uzbek national who obtained a large amount of credit in Uzbekistan and then went into hiding in Turkey without repaying it has been detained. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
According to the report, as a result of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and Turkey, a 37-year-old citizen identified as B.A., born in the Samarkand region, was located, detained in accordance with the relevant procedures, and returned to Uzbekistan for legal action.
Investigative procedures are currently being carried out against B.A. in accordance with the law.
The Consulate General has urged Uzbek citizens to strictly comply with applicable laws while staying abroad.
It is worth noting that earlier, two citizens who had been wanted through Interpol channels were brought from Turkey to Uzbekistan.
