Mirziyoyev meets with the Vice President of Turkey

Today, on May 1st, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted a delegation led by Turkey's Vice President, Javdat Yilmaz, who visited Uzbekistan to attend the third Tashkent International Investment Forum. The President's press service reported this meeting.

At the outset of the discussion, Javdat Yilmaz conveyed warm regards and best wishes from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Uzbekistan's head of state.

During the meeting, the parties addressed current matters regarding the further enhancement of the comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey. They expressed satisfaction with the ongoing active dialogues across all levels.

“The volume of trade, joint projects, establishment of enterprises, and the introduction of direct flights are increasing. The significant investment projects underway in sectors such as energy, mining, food, textiles, and other priority areas involving leading Turkish firms are being carried out,” the report stated. 

Special attention is being given to formulating the agenda for the forthcoming meeting of the High-level Strategic Cooperation Council. This includes the development of a new portfolio of collaborative projects and a cultural-humanitarian exchange program.
