Today, on November 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the seventh Consultation Meeting of Central Asian leaders, the press service of the Uzbek President reported.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed the implementation of high-level agreements, focusing primarily on increasing trade, accelerating the execution of key cooperation projects in industry, transport, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

The leaders emphasized the importance of continuing active interregional cooperation and cultural–humanitarian exchanges. They also exchanged views on pressing issues of regional significance.

For reference, the initiative to hold regular consultations among Central Asian leaders was proposed by the President of Uzbekistan in September 2017 during the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. The seventh Consultation Meeting of Central Asian leaders will take place in Tashkent on November 15–16, 2025, under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It is worth noting that earlier, at the invitation of President Mirziyoyev, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Tashkent as an honorary guest for the consultation meeting and held a meeting with the Uzbek leader.
