Nazarbekov is appointed Minister of Culture. Tourism is no longer under his control

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Ahmadovich Nazarbekov was appointed as the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
"Earlier, Ozodbek Nazarbekov's candidacy was approved by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis," said Sherzod Asadov, the press secretary of the President.
However, it is not known when the ministry named "Culture and Tourism" was transformed into the "Ministry of Culture" in December 2022 and when the term "tourism" was removed from its name.
According to information from QALAMPIR.UZ, yesterday, on the evening of July 26, the President accepted the document on the transformation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism into the Ministry of Culture. It is reported that the tourism sector will now be under the control of Aziz Abduhakimov.
For information, Nazarbekov has been leading this ministry, which has changed its name several times, since September 2020.
