New mayor appointed for Payarik district

On August 5, a new mayor was appointed for the Payarik district of Samarkand region, the district administration reported.
An extraordinary session of the Payarik District Council of People’s Deputies was held on the same day. The meeting was attended by Acting Governor of Samarkand region Adiz Boboev. During the session, Isroil Jabborov, who had led the district since August 2023, was officially dismissed from his post following his transfer to another position.
Shunkor Farmonovich Khudoiberdiev, who previously served as the region’s deputy governor for agriculture and water management, has been confirmed as the new mayor of Payarik district.
For reference, Shunkor Khudoiberdiev has also held the roles of First Deputy Governor of the Samarkand region and Governor of Pastdargom district.
