President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated teachers and mentors on the occasion of October 1 – Teachers’ and Mentors’ Day. This was reported by the presidential press service.
“I sincerely congratulate you, dear and respected teachers and mentors, who have dedicated your lives to the greatest and noblest cause in the world — the education and upbringing of the younger generation — as well as all dedicated workers in the field, on our national holiday, Teachers’ and Mentors’ Day.
On this joyful day, I once again express the deep respect of our people and country to you, dear teachers, and sincerely thank you for your hard and honorable work in shaping the future of a New Uzbekistan,” the head of state said.
According to the President, starting in 2026, “New Generation” kindergartens — similar to Presidential schools — will be established in Karakalpakstan and all regions, where educators will be able to study advanced pedagogical technologies.
Beginning with the new academic year, a unified state examination will be introduced for 12-year general education schools and for students in grades 9 and 11. A new system will also be implemented, allowing graduates to enter technical schools and universities directly based on their exam results.
The congratulatory message also notes that starting from the new year, 25 percent of the initial mortgage loan payment will be reimbursed for higher-category teachers with at least 15 years of experience.
