On August 19, a father in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent paid 2.4 billion soums in advance alimony. This was reported by the press service of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau.

According to the report, based on a court order, an enforcement document was issued regarding the recovery of alimony from debtor Sh.J. The order required the payment of half of the maintenance costs for four minor children in favor of collector Sh.D. The Uchtepa district department of the bureau received the document and initiated enforcement proceedings.

In order to identify assets registered under the debtor’s name, requests were sent to the relevant authorities. However, no assets were found. During the enforcement process, debtor Sh.J. submitted an application requesting the calculation of advance alimony payments for the maintenance of his four minor children until they reach adulthood.

As a result, the alimony was calculated at 50 percent of the debtor’s salary and other income, from August 1 of this year until April 1, 2041—a period of 16 years. The total amounted to 2 billion 442 million 482 thousand 580 soums.

During enforcement actions, debtor Sh.J. transferred the calculated alimony—2 billion 442 million 482 thousand 580 soums—in the form of a house to collector Sh.D. With the collector’s consent, the enforcement proceedings were officially concluded.

It is worth noting that earlier in Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan, a citizen set a similar record by paying 2.2 billion soums in alimony for one child in a single day.
