Strong societies are built not only on laws, but also on mutual trust among people, a trust that is often strengthened through relationships and leadership among women. This was stated today, February 4, by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the opening ceremony of a global forum held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, as part of the award ceremony for the Sheikh Zayed International Award for Human Fraternity.
The large-scale event, titled the Human Fraternity Assembly, brought together 150 distinguished guests, including first ladies of foreign countries, Nobel Prize laureates, heads of UN agencies and leading international organizations, senior politicians, ministers and statesmen from the UAE and Gulf countries, as well as prominent scholars in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence ethics.

Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered a speech at the forum’s first session titled Women’s Leadership at the Heart of Human Fraternity.

In her address, Saida Mirziyoyeva advanced the idea of defending women’s leadership and the right to education as fundamental criteria of human dignity. The speech highlighted that, based on Uzbekistan’s successful reforms in this area, ensuring social protection for women serves not only national development but also contributes to strengthening an environment of peace and solidarity across the entire region.
“Development that is not rooted in mutual respect does not last long. Strong societies are built not only on laws, but also on mutual trust among people, and this trust is often reinforced through relationships and leadership among women,” Saida Mirziyoyeva said.

It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that the winners of the prestigious Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, which recognizes contributions to peace, social justice, and interfaith harmony in the United Arab Emirates, had been announced. This year’s award was presented for the historic peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as to human rights defender Zarqa Yaftali. Thus, for the first time, recipients of the award from the Caucasus region and Afghanistan were recognized.
