Drunk man beats teacher in Samarkand (video)

Reports have circulated on social media claiming that a man under the influence of alcohol assaulted a school teacher in the Samarkand region. The Regional Department of Preschool and School Education has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

According to the report, on October 27 of this year, an intoxicated man attacked a teacher working at School No. 112 located in the Urgut district of the Samarkand region. The school administration immediately reported the incident to the district Department of Internal Affairs.

Following the incident, the teacher was taken to the district medical association and provided with emergency medical assistance.

’’The head of the District Department of Preschool and School Education visited the medical association to check on the teacher’s condition. Currently, the teacher’s overall health condition is stable,’’ the statement said.

Law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. The cause of the conflict has not yet been disclosed.

It is worth noting that earlier, in the Urgut district of the Samarkand region, ninth-grade girls from School No. 41 were involved in a conflict. Following the incident, a meeting was held with the students and their parents to provide explanations. In addition, district police officials drew up administrative reports under Article 47 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (failure to fulfill duties in raising and educating children) against the parents of 12 students involved in the incident.
