Shavkat Mirziyoyev expresses condolences to the United Arab Emirates

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed condolences to the people of the United Arab Emirates in connection with the situation in the Middle East. This was reported by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, on his Telegram channel.

According to Saidov, he held a productive telephone conversation with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, during which they discussed the situation in the Middle East in detail.

“We expressed our solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and conveyed the sincere condolences of His Excellency President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” Saidov said.

During the conversation, the parties emphasized the importance of resolving all issues peacefully in accordance with international law, while respecting state sovereignty and territorial integrity.

It was reported that on February 28, as a result of an Iranian attack, a fire broke out in the area of the Palm Jumeirah hotel complex in Dubai. In addition, four people were injured following a drone attack on Dubai International Airport.

Earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences to the people of Qatar and Kuwait and conveyed support to the Sultanate of Oman in connection with the situation in the Middle East.
