Today, January 13, following an expanded meeting of the Security Council, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a visit to the Chirchiq Aircraft Repair Plant. The press service of the Uzbek leader reported this.

It was noted that the head of state familiarized himself with the results of large-scale modernization carried out at the enterprise, as well as the operations of its newly established high-tech divisions.

Based at the plant, a technical maintenance center for Airbus helicopters, the only one of its kind in the CIS and the region, has been launched.

The center has been officially certified by France’s Airbus company, confirming that production has been organized at a high level and complies with international standards and the manufacturer’s requirements. A full service and repair cycle has been established for modern Western-made aircraft, including H125, H215, and H130 helicopter models.

The center will enable Uzbekistan to become an important regional hub for the maintenance and operation of Airbus helicopters. The president reviewed the center’s capabilities and spoke with specialists on site.

During the visit, the president was also presented with the plant’s upgraded workshops for the overhaul and deep modernization of Su-25 military aircraft. Thanks to the introduction of advanced technologies, the enterprise now equips aircraft with modern navigation systems, night vision devices, and onboard self-defense systems.

At the conclusion of the visit, the head of state issued instructions aimed at further strengthening the country’s defense industry potential.
