Shavkat Mirziyoyev sends condolences to the people of Pakistan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent condolences to President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif following a terrorist attack at a mosque in Islamabad that resulted in multiple fatalities and serious injuries. The information was reported by the press secretary of the Uzbek leader.
“The head of state expressed his sympathies to the people of Pakistan, as well as to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives, and wished the injured a speedy recovery,” the statement said.
Earlier, it was reported that an explosion occurred at a mosque in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. As a result of the tragedy, at least 31 people were killed and 169 others were injured. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
