Mirziyoyev receives Russian delegation

On April 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russia. The information was reported by the Uzbek president’s press service.
According to the statement, at the beginning of the meeting the high-ranking guest conveyed greetings and best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The sides discussed the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level within the framework of deepening strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Russia.

It was noted with satisfaction that active dialogue is being maintained across all areas. Trade turnover continues to grow steadily, key industrial cooperation projects are being implemented, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges are expanding.
“Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the project to build the country’s first integrated nuclear power plant, as well as to cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy,” the statement said.
The sides also reached agreements on intensifying cooperation in digital technologies, youth and information policy, mass media, and the development of civic initiatives.
It is worth noting that in May 2025, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva visited Russia, where she held meetings with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, and First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko.
