Italian football coach Claudio Ranieri has announced his retirement from professional coaching, as reported by "Sky Sports."

Ranieri's final club was Italy's "Cagliari," where he had been coaching since 2023. During the 2023/24 season, under Ranieri's leadership, "Cagliari" finished 15th in the Italian championship.

Notably, Eldor Shomurodov, the captain of Uzbekistan's national team, played for "Cagliari" last season. However, Shomurodov's transfer rights are held by "Roma."

Ranieri, now 72, had an illustrious career managing numerous clubs, including Italy's "Napoli," "Fiorentina," "Parma," "Juventus," "Roma," "Inter," and "Sampdoria," as well as Spain's "Valencia," France's "Monaco," and "Nantes." He also managed the Greek national team and several English clubs, including "Chelsea," "Fulham," "Watford," and "Leicester." Ranieri's notable achievements include winning the English Premier League with Leicester in the 2015/16 season, the Spanish Cup, Intertoto Cup, and UEFA Super Cup with "Valencia," and the Italian Cup and Super Cup with "Fiorentina.”
