Shomurodov named in Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week

Eldor Shomurodov, the Uzbekistan national team and Istanbul Basaksehir striker, has been included in the Turkish Super Lig Round 21 Team of the Week, according to Sofascore.

In Round 21 of the Turkish Super Lig, Istanbul Basaksehir defeated Eyupspor 2–1 away from home.

Uzbekistan national team players Eldor Shomurodov and Abbosbek Fayzullayev both started the match. Shomurodov scored his team’s opening goal, while Fayzullayev provided the assist for the second goal.

Sofascore rated Shomurodov’s performance at 8.0, while Fayzullayev received a rating of 7.7.

Shomurodov is currently the joint top scorer in the Super Lig with 15 goals, alongside Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu. Fenerbahce forward Talisca follows with 12 goals.

After 18 rounds of the Turkish Super Lig, Galatasaray lead the standings with 52 points, followed by Fenerbahce with 49 and Trabzonspor with 45. Istanbul Basaksehir sit sixth with 33 points.
